Her father was businessman Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. Director of an internet networking company. As a child of an Catholic family her family was raised in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Her parents enrolled their daughter at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, a religious elitist institution. The girl was a lover of music as an infant. She learned how to play the piano, and when she was thirteen, she composed her first music. She's been a part of many open mics. Her top singers were queen Michael Jackson Madonna, David Bowie. She took music classes at the Tisch School of Art of New York University after completing her secondary schooling. However, after high school she chose to pursue a music career and abandoned her studies.
